Pusa Kaushal
Description

Plants are non-spiny with erect branches, having light purple pigmentation partially on younger leaves, mid-rib and veins.

Salient Feature

Its fruits are long, violet-purple with round distal end, each fruit weighing 80-90 g. Average yield 38.2 t/ha. Maturity 55 days from transplanting.

Pusa Hybrid-20
Description

Long fruited brinjal hybrid ‘DBHL-20’ recommended for cultivation in Zone-IV Punjab, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar). Its plants are non-spiny, semi-erect having light purple pigmentation partially on younger leaves and new branches.

Salient Feature

Its fruits are long, dark purple, glossy, weight 90-100 gram and takes about 55 days from transplanting to first harvest. Its average yield is 52.5 t/ha.

Description

It is also a progeny selection of cross GR x 91-2. Fruits small (60-70), slightly oval, dark purple, glossy.

Salient Feature

First picking 45-50 days after transplanting. Average yield of this variety is 35.0 t/ha.

Description

It is progeny selection of cross GR x 91-2. Plants spineless; fruits small (70-75 g), slightly oval, glossy, dark purple.

Salient Feature

First picking 55-60 days after transplanting. Its average yield is 30.0t/ha.

Description

It is also a progeny selection of cross GR x 91-2. Plants non spiny; fruits slightly oval, glossy, dark purple, medium sized(200-250 g).

Description

It is a cross between Sel NDB-25 Sel 129-. Plants upright, spineless; fruits long,medium sized, dark purple.

Description

It is also a cross between Sel Br – 112 x Sel 91-2. Plants upright, non -spiny; fruits round, purple, glossy, medium sized(200 g).

Suitable for autumn-winter; first picking 55-60 days after transplanting. Average yield is 45.0 t/ha.
