Capsicum

These crop varieties have been widely adopted in their recommended areas / agro-climatic zones. 

California wonder

It is a late maturing variety with stock and upright plants. The fruits are blocky, smooth, heavy, thick-walled, and deep green and the flesh is very thick, sweet and fine flavored, turning bright crimson at maturity. This is a good cropper with less seed bearing habit and can be harvested over an extended season.

Pusa Deepti

Plants are bushy, vigorous, 55-65cm in height with erect fruit bearing habit, fruits are light green conical 9-11cm long with 3-5cm diameter matures in 70-75 days.

Economic benefits:

  • It can withstand long distance transportation. Tolerant to bacterial leaf spot and anthracnose

Yolo Wonder

It is a high yielding and late maturing type with stocky and upright plants. The fruits are generally 3 lobed, pendant, blocky or square shaped, smooth, heavy thick walled and deep green that turns bright crimson at maturity. The flesh is very thick, sweet and fine flavored
