Solanaceous Vegetable Crops:
A.Tomato
(I) Varieties :
Pusa Rohini : Plants are determinate and fruits are round, smooth, medium sized (70 g) and red in colour. Its average yield is 41.2 t/ha. It is suitable for growing during spring-summer season in northern Indian plains.
(II) Hybrids:
Pusa Hybrid-1:

Fruit setting at high night temperature. Suitable for long distance transportation. Yield 32.5 t/ha.
Pusa Hybrid-2: Availability from March end to May end, field resistant to nematodes. Yield 55 t/ha.
Pusa Hybrid-4: Good for long distance transportation. Sowing from mid October to mid December in north Indian plains. Yield 55 t/ha.
B. Brinjal
(I) Varieties :
Pusa Uttam: Medium sized (200-250 g); first picking 60 days after transplanting. Yield 40 t/ha.
Pusa Upkar : Medium sized (200 g); first picking 65 days after transplanting. Yield 40 t/ha.
Shyamla : Each fruit weighing 80-90 g. The maturity period is about 50-55 days from transplanting. Its average yield is 39.16 t/ha.
Cole Crops:
A. Cauliflower

(I) Varieties :
Pusa Meghna: Early variety for September maturity. Curds weighing about 350-400 g. It takes 95 days. The average yield is 12.5 t/ha.
Pusa Sharad: November maturing variety. Curds weighing about 900 g. Its average yield is 24.0 t/ha The maturity period is 85 days.
Pusa Paushja: Dec.-Jan maturity. Average curd wt. 900 g with curd yield of 30-32 t/ha and marketable yield of 40-42 t/ha.
(II) Hybrids:
Pusa Kartik Sankar (Early group):
Pusa Kartik Sankar (Early group): Early Sept. maturity. Maturity 96 days. weighing about 475 g. Average yield 14.9 t/ha.
Legimenous Crops:
A. Cowpea

(I) Varieties :
Pusa Sukomal: Pods are light green, round, meaty, less fibrous and around 30 cm long. First picking takes 42-45 days during Kharif and 55-60 days during summer season. It gives an average green pod yield of 6.2 and 6.6 t/ha in summer and Kharif seasons, respectively. It is highly resistant to golden yellow mosaic virus and leaf spot diseases.
B. Carrot
(I) Varieties :

Pusa Rudhira (IPC-122):
Gives more than 50% higher yield, self core and Average yield is 33 t/ha.
Pusa Asita (IPC-126): Self black core colour. Average yield is 30 t/ha.
