Fruits are ellipsoid, with greenish white rind and white flesh. Number of fruit per plant is 4?5. Flesh thickness 5?6 cm and cavity diameter 9.5 cm.

First ashgourd hybrid developed with average yield of 40?42 ton/hectare. Average fruit weight is 10 kg. This hybrid is suitable for making sweet candy (Petha)

Description

This hybrid is recommended by All India coordinated Research Project (Vegetable crops) for cultivation in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand states. Fruit are oval shape with white rind and white flesh. Average fruit weight 9.0 kg Number of fruit per plant is 4–5. Average flesh thickness 5.0–5.5 cm and cavity diameter 9.5–10.0 cm

Average yield is 45–48 ton/hectare. This hybrid is suitable for making sweet candy (Petha)

Description

Identified by AICRP-VC for kharif cultivation in Zone VIII (Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala). Vines are medium long (average length 7.0m) and fruits are cylindrical and easy for long distance transportation. Its fruit has greenish white rind and white flesh with an average flesh thickness of 6.40 cm.

Maturity in 100-110 days. Average yield 36.5 t/ha . Average fruit weight 3.5 kg. It is suitable for culinary purpose
